CM Design Group was first selected in February 2012 to complete the PS&E documents for the City of Mercer Island's arterial and residential street overlays project. CM Design Group staff completed the project basemapping using GIS info and an efficient method of mapping and evaluating the streets. Since 2012 we've completed the annual program for the City of Mercer Island for eight additional years, having just wrapped up the 2021 program.
Over the years the projects have included not just the typical pavement repair, grinding, overlay, utility adjustments, and striping. In some years, the project included ADA ramps, roadway widenings, full-width pavement removal, roadway regrading, pulverize-in-place projects, and chip seals. CM Design Group has also provided construction monitoring, when needed by the City, and continues to learn from our work in the field.
